Robert’s Back Story…

I’ve spent the last three decades immersed in a theatrical landscape—as a director, educator, musician, and storyteller. For years, I guided young performers, directed countless productions, and helped shape arts education in classrooms and communities across the city. At a turning point in my journey, I returned to the Philippines for four years, reconnecting with my roots while touring as a music director and teaching artist. Like many artists, I eventually reached a pause. In that space, I rediscovered why I first fell in love with the theatre: its power to bring us home, to ourselves and to one another. That calling brought me back to revive Studio Connections: a space where art, education, and human connection intersect. This isn’t just about putting on a show. It’s about telling meaningful stories, mentoring the next generation, and building something that reaches beyond the stage.

This is my work. My joy. My home.
